Financial Analysis Associate

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Job Responsibilities Include:

Manage preparation of annual budget
-
Prepare and present budget summaries
-
Monitor and audit all spending
-
Produce necessary reports on spending status and submit to project managers
-
Monitor and analyze spending patterns to prevent overspending and noncompliance with budgetary guidelines
-
Manage contracts, contract routing and coordinate contract payments for all divisions and programs
-
Manage purchasing activity
-
Ensure all purchases are properly justified and coded to proper budget accounts
-
Prepare annual revenue projections and ensure they are justifiable
-
Ensure actual revenues are properly tracked and coded into budget
-
Interpret and present financial reports and summaries as needed for the CEO and VP of Finance
-
Monitor salary reports
-
Prepare and present budget amendment requests to VP of Finance
-
Serve as fiscal manager for budget issues
-
Train project managers on use of financial software, budget oversight and preparation, and monitoring of expenditures
-
Analyze financial statements of for-profit and non-profit organizations
-
Develop, maintain and enhance critical Microsoft Access databases
-
Work with users to develop MS Access, Excel and other applications to solve business problems
-
Proposal development
-
Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance plus six years of experience working in a financial or accounting environment. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Ability to skillfully execute above job responsibilities

Must be well organized, meticulous and able to prioritize tasks. Knowledge of current office procedures, Business English, proper correspondence format and composition. Must be able to communicate effectively with all staff levels within an organization.

Expert level skills on MS Excel. Intermediate level skills on MS Word and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and use financial software.

Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and relate well with co workers, supervisors and other employees.

Must have home office with personal computer, cell phone available for business communications, and fax machine.
Desired Qualifications:

An MBA or Masters of Accountancy

Prior “hands-on” programming experience in VB, VBA, SQL
-
Prior heavy use of stored procedures
-
Strong development knowledge of Microsoft SQL and advanced SQL queries
