FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 15, 2010

(Chicago) – Utilivate Technologies, LLC (Utilivate) announced today that it will launch its next six-day intensive “BPI Building Analyst Professional: Certification Training” program on July 12, 2010.

Utilivate uses a “Whole-House” approach to home performance, weatherization, and retrofit training - - Home PWR - - through its proven Three-Step Program:

Step 1: BPI Building Analyst Professional workshop provides “hands-on”, highly-interactive instruction. Dynamic, expert presenters have literally years of experience in building performance, energy management, and home retrofits.
Step 2: Comprehensive field training is performed in actual homes with high-tech instruments; including, one-on-one coaching and small group instruction.
Step 3: Participants are prepared to challenge the BPI Building Analyst written and field exam.

The workshop enables a “fast track” path to Building Analyst Professional certification and prepares participants to beat and “leap frog” competitors. Further, the credentials earned allow participants to join a select list of preferred, certified contractors able to perform on federal Home Performance with Energy Star® or “Cash for Caulkers” incentive programs and Illinois, county, municipal, and utility residential energy efficiency programs.

The Building Analyst Professional Certification Training program targets 1) home contractors interested in expanding into the rapidly growing home performance and weatherization field and 2) entrepreneurs, in other industries, looking to diversify into GREEN markets. Further, the training program is well-suited for unemployed or underemployed individuals seeking job security or entrepreneurship in this fast growing GREEN-collar job sector. Importantly, the course is designed for individuals with all levels of experience and background.

Marlon McClinton, President & CEO of Utilivate Technologies, stated, “We are proud to bring this outstanding BPI-recognized training program to all communities in Illinois. Training is based on building science principles and the ‘house-as-a-system’ approach. The whole-home assessment allows the Building Analyst Professional to locate and diagnose problems at the source and prescribe real solutions that not only improve energy efficiency and lower utility bills, but also protect the homeowner’s comfort and health and safety.” Wayne Dawson, Utilivate’s Senior Project Manager and lead BPI instructor, adds, “ Utilivate’s information-packed workshop includes all training material, checklists, case studies, and other tools to support and ‘jump start’ participants’ home performance services.” McClinton emphasized, however, that, “Space is available for only 16 individuals or companies; and, will fill up quickly.”
