Village of Hazel Crest promises to sharply reduce their
energy bills with new sustainable energy plan crafted with Utilivate
Technologies.
(Chicago) –Utilivate Technologies, LLC (Utilivate) announced
today that the Village of Hazel Crest has formally adopted a new
Sustainable Energy Plan initiated at Utilivate’s 3-Step Sustainable
Energy Planning (SEP) Workshop held earlier this year. Utilivate’s
workshop program, sponsored by the State of Illinois Department
of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), has been proven effective
in sharply reducing energy expenditures for organizations throughout
Illinois.
A key goal of the workshop program is to engage and
empower participants to take control of their energy dollars to
achieve both immediate and sustained cost savings. By completing
the sustainable energy planning process, formally adopting the resultant
sustainable energy plan, and implementing suggested action steps,
the Village of Hazel Crest is serving as a real role model for municipalities
and other organizations in the state striving to be “Green”.

Workshops, sponsored by the State of Illinois, ComEd, and Ameren,
help manufacturers and public sector organizations to sharply reduce
their energy bills.
(Chicago) –Utilivate Technologies, LLC (Utilivate)
announced today that it is working in partnership with the Illinois
Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), ComEd, and
Ameren Illinois Utilities to provide Illinois manufacturers, commercial
enterprises, and public sector organizations energy cost optimization
planning and implementation services. Utilivate will apply its proprietary
3-Step Sustainable Energy Planning (SEP) Workshop program proven
effective in sharply reducing energy expenditures for organizations
throughout the United States.
DCEO, ComEd, and Ameren will underwrite over 90% of
the total $5,500 program cost for the first 15 companies that register
for the program; organizations who sign up pay only $500.
It is the goal of the 3-Step SEP workshop and implementation
services to engage and empower participants to take control of their
energy dollars and achieve immediate and sustained energy cost savings.
Step 1 -- SEP workshop provides powerful
new tools to reduce energy consumption, improve energy efficiency,
and maximize avoided energy costs.
Step 2 -- Utilivate’s staffs
of energy experts provide 25 hours of “hands on” consulting
and coaching support to implement energy conservation measures.
Step 3-- Three to six months after
the initial workshop, a networking session allows participants to
share lessons learned and best adoption strategies.
It is the goal of the workshop to engage and empower
participants to take control of their energy dollars to achieve
immediate and sustained cost savings. This six hour educational
workshop will be held at South Suburban College in Oak Forest, Illinois
on January 22nd and Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois
on January 29, 2009.

targeted towards senior managers that will be responsible for supporting
the creation and effective implementation of a company-wide energy
plan and the individual who has day-to-day responsibility for managing
the company’s energy spending. Teams of up to three people
can attend the workshop”.

with company teams to identify, prioritize, target, and implement
high-impact energy conservation opportunities. Past participants
reported reducing their total energy spend by, on average, 27% using
the 3-Step Program.” Wayne Hartel, Energy Program Specialist
at DCEO, emphasized, “DCEO is proud to be part of this unique
collaboration and partnership between private and public organizations
to help businesses and public sector organizations throughout Illinois
take control of their energy dollars and, thereby, focus on the
success of their core business”.

(Chicago) –Utilivate Technologies, LLC (Utilivate)
announced today its President & CEO, Marlon McClinton, participated
in a University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Engineering
Career Day program on January 23, 2010. The annual Career Prep Day
was designed to provide UIC students with the tools to navigate
a tight job market. The program was sponsored by the College of
Engineering Alumni Association (EAA) and the Engineering Career
Center.
McClinton served as a Mentor for several students critiquing
their job hunting, interviewing, and communication skills. Further,
McClinton helped students to deconstruct their resumes and identify,
highlight, and communicate their unique skills and capabilities
that can add real value to future employers. McClinton stated, “I
was thoroughly impressed by the junior and senior engineering students
that I had an opportunity to mentor.” McClinton added, “As
a UIC engineering alumni, it was extremely rewarding to use my management
and leadership skills to advise engineering students as they prepare
for a long and rewarding career.”
