(Chicago) – Utilivate Technologies, LLC (Utilivate) announced today that it is working in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to provide Illinois and City of Chicago construction firms and private developers critical information to both 1) avoid steep penalties associated with violating new City of Chicago waste recycling ordinance requirements and 2) earn expedited building permits by incorporating “Green” concepts in their current or next building project. Utilivate will apply its proprietary everydayMBA® 3-Step Workshop & Implementation Services program proven effective in achieving real, measurable results for commercial enterprises throughout the United States. Step 2-- Utilivate’s staffs of construction experts and project managers provide “hands on” consulting and coaching support to implement each step of the Green building permitting process and waste recycling ordinance requirements.

Step 3--Three to six months after the initial workshop, a networking session allows participants to share lessons learned and best practices.

The first workshop will be on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 on Chicago’s Westside at Chicago Center for Green Technology, 445 North Sacramento, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Marlon McClinton, President & CEO of Utilivate Technologies, stated, “The workshop is specifically targeted towards business owners, operations or construction supervisors, or other senior managers responsible for compliance with City of Chicago ordinances and regulations or implementing Green building concepts.  Teams of up to three people from each company can attend the workshop.”

Florence Cox, Executive Director of BCU stated, “Many small and medium-size construction firms and their employees are simply not fully aware of the expanded City of Chicago ordinance requirements and expedited building permitting opportunities.” McClinton added, “This level of cooperation between State of Illinois, City of Chicago, and private industry facilitates increased participation by and business opportunities for small to mid-sized construction businesses and private developers.”
